Elliot is an Australian jazz guitarist and composer from Boorloo/Perth who, since August 2019, has been making his base in London, United Kingdom. His work both as a leader and a sideman has seen him perform original music at various venues and events such as both of Perth’s premier Jazz Festivals (Perth International Jazz Festival and Perth Corner Pocket Festival), The Ellington Jazz Club and the Perth Concert Hall as well as performing internationally in countries such as the United States, Italy and Bulgaria.

While living in Perth, he studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts completing a Bachelor of Music (Honours) where his thesis on Gilad Hekselman’s use of polyrhythm and phrasing was awarded a high distinction. While at WAAPA, he primarily studied with Jamie Oehlers, Tom O’Halloran and Daniel Susnjar, he has also undertaken lessons with the likes of Lage Lund, Mike Moreno, Matthew Stevens, Ben Monder and Gilad Hekselman in New York City. 

Since relocating his home base to London in August 2019 Elliot has formed his own quartet with some of  the most exciting musicians in the London jazz scene Jonathan Chung, Calum Gourlay and Corrie Dick. He has performed with his group at venues such as the long-standing jazz club The Vortex as well as Oliver’s Jazz Bar, Sofar Sounds, Doña and The Junction. He recently his debut album New Surroundings featuring Jonathan Chung (tenor saxophone), Calum Gourlay (double bass) and Corrie Dick (drums) on the AMP Music & Records label. Alongside band-leading, Elliot currently finds himself performing regularly as a sideman in the London jazz scene.
